Chelsea resident wins $1 million ‘Bonus’

David Soucy bought the winning ticket at a Marlborough convenience store.

A Chelsea man recently hit it big after buying a lotto ticket at a Marlborough convenience store.

David Soucy is the winner of a $1 million prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “Bonus 100X” instant ticket game, a spokesperson for the State Lottery Commission said.

Soucy chose the annuity option on his prize, meaning his winnings will be paid out in yearly installments. He received the first of 20 annual payments of $50,000 before taxes and said he plans to go on vacation with the winnings.

Soucy bought his lucky ticket at Nouria, located at 413 Lakeside Ave. in Marlborough. The store will receive a $10,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
