A luxury hotel in Boston just announced a wedding package that includes four-legged friends as witnesses.

At Fairmont Copley Plaza, engaged couples can designate their dog as a witness or enlist the services of the hotel’s canine ambassador Cori Copley. Wedding witnesses aren’t legally required in Massachusetts, noted the hotel, so it’s a perfectly fine job for a pup.

The “Pawfect Union” package costs $750 and includes the following:

  • A photo session for the couple and dog
  • A luxurious pre-wedding bath for the pooch at Onyva Dog Spa on Newbury Street
  • A custom faux floral collar in the couple’s wedding colors
  • A ceremonial marriage certificate for the dog to “paw-tograph”
  • A commissioned custom wedding portrait illustration of the couple and dog
  • An overnight stay in the Catie Copley Suite (Catie Copley was the hotel’s first canine ambassador 20 years ago)
  • An exclusive discount on For the Love of Paws wedding day pet care and sitting services

For those who would rather have Cori Copley do the job, the same package is available (minus the For the Love of Paws service) for $1,000. Cori, while accompanied by her designated hotel companion, will spend a maximum of 30 minutes with the couple for photos.
