Jillian Dara

Jillian is a freelance travel journalist reporting on culture, food and wine. She thanks her upbringing in Bermuda for instilling the importance of travel and connecting with different cultures, which has since motivated Jillian to live in London, Santiago, Boston and New York City.

In addition to Boston.com, she has covered various topics from food and wine to luxury travel and culture for outlets such as Travel + Leisure, Conde Nast Traveler, USA Today 10Best, Michelin Guide, Food & Wine, and Decanter.

Jillian graduated from Emerson College in 2015 with a BS in journalism. As a sophomore, Jillian spent six months studying at Queen Mary University in London, England; this is where she leaned into travel journalism, exploring a new European destination almost every weekend. Some of her favorite international cities include Marrakech, Budapest, Madrid, Santiago, and Bangkok.
