A South End man was robbed of jewelry worth thousands of dollars while he was in the shower, according to Boston Police.
The victim was showering in his South End home on East Concord Street when a woman reportedly entered his ground floor apartment. The woman allegedly stole watches out of his guest room on July 22 around 5:20 p.m., according to the police report.
The suspect allegedly took three watches worth a total of $3,480, according to the police report.
Footage from the victim’s Ring security camera footage show the suspect is a white female aged 30 to 40 years old, of medium build, has black hair, and was wearing a white shirt, black pants, and sandals.
The victim told police his front door was unlocked at the time of the break-in.
The investigation into the break-in remains open as police try to identify the suspect.
Days prior, on July 18, a woman was arrested in connection with an attempted break-in in the same neighborhood, and then allegedly made herself at home in a condo one block away the next day.
The Worcester Square neighborhood in the South End is located near the Mass and Cass corridor, sometimes considered the epicenter of the city’s homelessness, substance use disorder, and mental health crises. Residents of the area have raised growing concerns about safety in the neighborhood.
