With the waters of Nantucket Sound shimmering behind it, 391 Sea View Ave. is one of Osterville’s most treasured properties. And at $15 million, its price tag is the second most expensive residential listing currently on Cape Cod.

Built in 2020, the 1.23-acre lot was previously home to a seriously challenged property that needed to be razed to create the stunning 5,502-square-foot beauty that lives there today.

The two-bed, six-bath (three full, three half) shingle-style home was designed by Polhemus Savery DaSilva and features a roof line that’s shaped like a wave. There are additional rooms that could be set up as bedrooms, as the septic system allows for as many as seven bedrooms.

“It’s an amazing house but an even more amazing location,” said Gene Orloff of Sotheby’s International Realty, who has the listing.

When you step inside, you’re greeted under soaring ceilings by a grand staircase that cascades upward and also serves as a division between the home’s formal and casual areas. Boasting an open floor plan, you’ll find classic millwork and walls of windows that allow residents to embrace the beauty of the sea. Every architectural detail is thoughtfully considered.

With hardwood floors running throughout, the home features two fireplaces. One of those is in the impeccable living room, where walls of built-in bookcases sit opposite windows that stream in natural light. That flows naturally into the formal dining room, which is equally as stunning, and has French doors that open out to a stone patio overlooking the water. A kitchen with stainless steel appliances, a large center island, and marble countertops and backsplashes is the ultimate casual gathering space.

Upstairs, the home’s primary bedroom is its crown jewel. A wall of windows overlooks the waterfront, while blue-and-white wallpaper complements the natural setting. The primary bathroom, featuring brass fixtures and blue-and-white tile, features beautiful views of its own. There’s also a walk-in closet with ample storage and windows with an ocean view.

The house is surrounded by beautiful gardens that are impeccably landscaped. But it’s the house’s private, sandy beach that nobody can put a price tag on. With panoramic views, it’s a dreamlike oasis in your own backyard.

“It’s a magical beachfront setting, which is why they bought the house to begin with,” Orloff said.

There is also a two-bed, two-bath guest house measuring 1,228 square feet with a fireplace and a deck with views of the water.
