Just in time for near-record-high heat and humidity in New England, folks can cool down with Guinness in a different kind of pint: ice cream.
The Irish stout has teamed up with the popular Brooklyn-born ice cream chain Van Leeuwen Ice Cream to make a pint of ice cream inspired by the beer, called “Lovely Day for a Guinness.”
The ice cream is “Guinness-flavored,” according to the Van Leeuwen website, with chocolate chunks mixed into it.
The sweet treat collaboration is only available as a 14-ounce pint and for a limited time. But given the fact that Van Leeuwen has expanded rapidly in Greater Boston recently, the Guinness ice cream is easy to find at any of the now six ice cream parlor locations.
Customers can also get the ice cream shipped directly to their home. The cost at the store is $11.15, and online orders are priced at $12.
