Katelyn Umholtz covers the Greater Boston restaurant industry for Boston.com. She reports on a wide range of topics, from industry news and restaurant openings to the mysterious disappearance of the Cool Dog (a hot dog-shaped ice cream) and explainers on New Haven’s apizza versus pizza. When Katelyn isn’t telling stories about Greater Boston’s restaurant scene, you can likely find her participating in her favorite hobby: eating and drinking at the area’s excellent restaurants and bars. Katelyn joined Boston.com in 2023 after moving from New Orleans.
