If you’re looking to make the move to New Hampshire, the town of Hampton is a good place to land. Located about 50 miles from Boston, this home is tucked in a thriving neighborhood adjacent to Batchelder Park, a hot spot for outdoor enthusiasts.

“People love the neighborhood,” said Maryanne McAden of Better Homes and Gardens The Masiello Group, who has the listing.

A turn into the paved driveway welcomes you to the flat, grassy front yard, adorned with several mature trees on the half-acre lot. A 1,150-square-foot two-car attached garage sits ahead of you, and a paved area on the side of the garage offers extra parking. Another paved area behind it has a basketball hoop.

A brick front walkway leads to a few front steps and to the red front door, which serves as a greeting to the charcoal blue vinyl-sided home. Step into the front foyer, where you’ll find the first of several beamed wooden ceilings overhead, a coat closet on your left, and the carpeted staircase directly ahead.

To your right, French doors lead into the living room, which extends from the front to the back of the home. There, you’ll find newly refinished hardwood floors and a wood-burning fireplace surrounded by a brick hearth with hickory post-and-beam ceilings overhead and several windows on three sides.

A second door from the living room leads back into the hallway, with a half-bathroom at the end. A soft blue color, it features tile flooring, a white vanity, white wainscotting, a closet, and a small window looking into the backyard.

Exit the bathroom and take a right turn into the hallway. You’ll pass the laundry room, which features a washer and dryer included in the home sale. Equipped with ample space for storage, it also has a door that leads to the backyard.

Continue down the hallway, and you’ll land in the open-concept kitchen and dining area, filled with cream-colored tile floors. An eat-in dining space under beamed ceilings features several large windows that open along the front of the house. A single closet sits next to a double-door pantry, ideal for storage. A small island juts out, separating the dining area from the kitchen and providing extra cabinets and a bookcase underneath.

In the adjoining kitchen, there’s light wooden cabinetry and stainless steel appliances that include a dishwasher, electric stove, and microwave. A double window over the sink overlooks the backyard. A unique addition to the home is a 96-square-foot step-down sunroom, a dream-like reading nook with windows along its front and skylights overhead.

The dining space flows into the 256-square-foot family room, where the post-and-beam construction is truly on display in the cathedral ceilings. A gas stove heats the space in front of a stone backwall that’s flanked by windows and bookcases. A wood laminate floor runs through the space.

The connected hallway provides easy access to the two-car garage and the backyard. A staircase from the family room leads to the large finished space over the garage, which functions as the home’s fourth bedroom. The oversized space features stunning walls and ceilings of wood with windows looking out onto the trees.

Back in the front entry, climb the stairs to the second story. To your right is the primary bedroom, which has a cream-colored carpet, a skylight over the bed space, and a large window. A walk-in closet offers plenty of options for storage, and the adjoining bathroom features a step-in shower, white walls, and a vanity with a gray top and wood ceiling.

There are two other bedrooms on the second story, including one that currently functions as an office. You’ll also find a full bathroom with a tub, cream-colored tile flooring, and the same white vanity with a gray top as the other bathroom.

To access the basement, head to the hallway between the kitchen and the first-floor bathroom. A staircase leads down into a finished area, currently functioning as an extra bedroom space. There, you’ll find wood-paneled walls with built-in bookshelves that could easily be adapted into a home office or playroom.

A stone patio in the backyard is shaded by the canopy of mature trees. A stone wall borders a portion of the property, and there are two sheds in the back.

The neighborhood’s prime location just west of Route 1 offers easy access to the downtown area, Hampton Beach, and routes 101 and I-95.
